Welcome to the Candyman Wiki

Candyman is an American slasher media franchise about the legend of the "Candyman", the ghost of an artist and son of a slave who was murdered in the late 19th century and who will kill anyone who dared to say his name five times wile looking into the mirror.

The franchise began as a short story, "The Forbidden", by Clive Barker and found the big screen with the movie adaptation Candyman in 1992, which grew out to be a true cult classic. A novelization and a comic adaptation of the film were released in the same year. It was followed by two sequels, Candyman: Farewell to the Flesh and Candyman 3: Day of the Dead in 1995 and 1999 respectively, and it set to be completed with a fourth "spiritual sequel" Candyman, which will be released on September 25, 2020.
